If you have symptoms that indicate a possible syphilis infection, Easly recommends seeking assistance from your own general practitioner (GP) or contacting your local health department (GGD). However, if you prefer not to go through these channels, you have the option to get tested at Easly. It’s important to note that at Easly, we can only test for primary syphilis by collecting a sample from the existing ulcer. In the event of a positive result, Easly will still advise you to consult your own GP for further evaluation and appropriate treatment.

In the case of symptoms or complaints, Easly always recommends reaching out to your general practitioner or local health department (GGD). It is important to consult with a healthcare professional for proper evaluation and guidance. If you still wish to investigate the possibility of herpes through a at-home test, Easly offers a at-home test option. However, it’s important to note that this test is only effective when there are visible blisters or residual scabs present. It’s always advisable to seek professional medical advice for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

In the case of a suspected infection, you can collect a smear from the affected area, such as an ulcer or blister, and send the sample to us. Once we receive your sample, it will be analyzed, and you can expect to receive the test result within 48 hours.

Once you have collected your bodily material, you will send it to the laboratory via post. On average, medical mail takes approximately 1 to 3 days for transportation. Upon arrival at the laboratory, your samples will be promptly analyzed for the requested test(s). You can expect to receive your results within approximately 48 hours after the samples’ arrival at the lab.

Your results will be accessible exclusively through your personal and secure results page using the unique code provided in your test kit.

Our rapid STI tests are analyzed using highly reliable PCR testing methods. The results are then assessed and validated by a medical molecular microbiologist.

However, it’s essential to note that the method of administration (collecting samples correctly) and the timing of administration can impact the reliability of your test result. It’s crucial to follow the instructions carefully and perform the test at the appropriate time to obtain the most accurate results.

If you opt for an STD test through your GP, the cost may be deducted from your healthcare deductible. However, if you are under 25 years of age or belong to a risk group, you may be eligible for a free STD test from the GGD. At Easyly, you are responsible for the cost of your test.

In the event of a positive result, we strongly advise you to promptly contact your own GP for further information, treatment, and partner notification. Easly does not provide treatment services. Upon receiving a positive result, you will receive a test certificate signed by our medical molecular microbiologist, which can be used by your GP to initiate the necessary treatment.

Easly does not offer treatment services for positive test results. Our role is limited to providing and analyzing the STI at-home test. We strongly advise you to promptly contact your doctor upon receiving a positive result. This will ensure that you receive timely and proper treatment for the contracted STD.

To prevent the spread of STDs and protect yourself and your sexual partners, it is crucial to notify your partner(s) if you receive a positive test result. We recommend contacting your doctor immediately after a positive result to initiate treatment and discuss partner notification. Your GP can facilitate an anonymous partner notification on your behalf, or our doctors at Easly can assist you in facilitating this process. NB: in het geval van een positieve uitslag voor syfilis is een partner waarschuwing zinvol, in het geval van een positieve uitslag voor herpes, wordt dit niet geadviseerd.
